Ways to Serve at QHC This Summer

Our summer youth camps are a thriving space for students to encounter Christ and grow with their peers. Our mission would be impossible without the countless volunteers who serve throughout the summer. See below for different ways to serve this summer.

Applications due by April 11.

Counselor

Counselors are our heroes! As a counselor, your job is to provide leadership, supervision, and spiritual mentorship for a small cabin or group (typically no more than 10-11) of campers. You will live in a cabin together, guiding them through daily activities of camp, providing a safe space for them to open up and grow in their faith, and modeling Christ in the most direct way.

21+

Older Kid Camps

You must be 21 years or older in order to counsel for our senior high camps.

*You must be 19 years or older to counsel at Junior High Camp, but we give preference to those 21 and older.

18+

Younger Kid Camps

You must be 18 or older in order to counsel for our younger camps: Adventure, Pioneer, and Little Friends.

Counselor in Training (CIT)

As the next generation of amazing counselors, CITs are paired with a lead counselor to provide leadership and supervision for a small cabin group. The main role of a CIT is to be with their campers and learn from their counselor what it looks like to spiritually lead a group. As a CIT, it’s your job to help keep an eye on your campers, make them feel loved, and have fun learning along the way!

Requirements

You must be at least 15 and a half in order to be a CIT at Quaker Haven. Preference will be given to those 16 or older.

Options

We need CITs for Little Friends, Pioneer, and Adventure Camps!
